A Sensation of Incomplete Emptying

This is a sensation sometimes called tenesmus. It describes the feeling having emptied ones bowels of still having something left in the rectum. It may arise as a reult of constipation, rectal sensitvity or less commonly as a result of rectal pathology, such as a rectal tumour or polyp.
